About One Planet Schools 2008
One Planet Schools 2008 is a conference for teachers, governors and other school staff who are active in the field of Learning for Sustainability or Education for Sustainable Development. We aim to give teachers the space and opportunity to:
Think and apply
Inspirational and thought-provoking speakers, together with interactive activity and seminar sessions, will explore topical theories and issues, helping participants to reflect and apply these to their own experiences.
Share
Practising teachers will facilitate workshops in both the morning and afternoon, providing a mixture of ways to share experiences and practice with other teachers.
At the end of the conference, participants will have been given the opportunity to learn with others through informal and formal sharing opportunities.
Who is the conference suitable for?
We carefully plan our agenda to ensure that it will be of interest to teachers, governors and other school staff just beginning their sustainability journey, as well as those that have been involved in this area for some years.
If you want to be inspired, learn something new or perhaps meet other educators who are interested in Learning for Sustainability or Education for Sustainable Development, then this is the conference for you!
