The One Planet Business Global Evidence Base represents the first attempt to estimate material consumption, carbon dioxide emissions and Ecological Footprints at the level of global human consumption and global industry sectors. Data is presented for 31 countries and 48 industry sectors.
Such evidence is essential to inform decisions about how to manage our global economy into the future so as to keep our resource consumption within planetary limits whilst meeting the needs of the world's growing population.
The One Planet Business analysis and report was prepared by Best Foot Forward with contributions from SEI, SERI and Global Footprint Network. It has been peer reviewed both within these organisations and by a number of external reviewers, including Manfred Lenzen (University of Sydney), Joe Ravetz (University of Manchester), Frans Berkhout (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).
