Rivers are our main source of fresh water, but the many uses of water create conflicts which have an impact on water quality and on the health of people and wildlife in the catchment area. Controlling river use and preventing pollution is difficult because rivers do not respect political boundaries. Focus on Rivers will make children aware of the threats to this precious resource, encouraging a more caring and responsible attitude.
