WWF has been working with the Centre for Cross Curricular Initiatives (London South Bank and Goldsmiths universities) for five years to build ESD into their teacher training course and to track the classroom practice of graduates in their early professional years.
The results from this project have now been collated into case studies and tracking research which were published in June 2006 in the book Building a Sustainable Future: Challenges for Initial Teacher Training, available from WWF-UK. This research demonstrates:
- how ESD can be incorporated into other ITT programmes
- the benefits of this style of classroom practice.
